9-Ball Game Rules (Summer)
GAME RULES
The season starts Wednesday July 9th
Minimum of three (3) players per night on a team
Only one team member can play a maximum of 4 games per night
Maximum of 7 players on a team.
9 Ball on the break wins a match
A push-out shot is allowed, only after the break. Opponent can take the shot or give it back to the player who played the push-out.
Two timeouts per game
Same foul rules/ball in hand as our 8 Ball League except for after the break scratch. After the break in 9 ball, if the player scratches, the next player will have ball in hand and does not have to be behind the line
9 Ball is wild during a match as long as you hit the correct numbered ball first
Balls need to be hit in numerical order
No need to call your shot on balls 1-8. We are only calling the 9 ball or calling a combo in which the 9 ball will be pocketed.
If you hit the correct number ball but a different ball goes in the pocket, you continue playing
You cannot play a safe by potting another ball
A scratch on the 9-ball is a loss (even on the break). If you get the 9 ball in the wrong pocket it is also considered a loss.
Rail contact after each shot or foul and ball in hand
Post season can only have previous players who have played at least 1 regular season match.
